Hewlett Packard Enterprise is accelerating space exploration and increasing astronauts’ self-sufficiency by enabling real-time data processing with advanced commercial edge computing in space for the first time.  The HPE edge computing system, called Spaceborne Computer-2 (SBC-2), is set to launch in February and be installed on the International Space Station (ISS). The SBC-2  Includes the HPE Edgeline Converged EL4000 Edge System, a rugged and compact system designed to perform in harsh edge environments.  Also will feature the HPE ProLiant DL360 server, an industry-standard server, for additional high-performance capabilities.
